What Kletterer.Info is
Kletterer.Info is a free directory of climbing and bouldering gyms and outdoor climbing areas in Germany, with guides on gear and on getting started.
We want to answer one question quickly: where can I climb near me, and what do I need to know?
Where the information comes from
- Gyms: from publicly available sources, above all the gyms' own websites. We review the entries regularly, remove duplicates and label ropes courses as such. Opening hours and prices change often; the gym's own website is always authoritative.
- Crags: from public area descriptions and the rules of the responsible associations. Closures, for example for bird protection, and regional rules (Saxony, the Palatinate) take precedence over anything written here.
- Found a mistake? Write to [email protected]. Gyms can have their entry corrected free of charge.
How the guides are written
Our gear articles summarise manufacturer specifications, standards (for example EN 892 for ropes, EN 12277 for harnesses) and publicly available information.
We have not tested the products ourselves and do not claim to. Where we compare, we compare spec sheets, not hands-on experience.

How the site is funded
